Early years and where you came from?
I studied in Portugal Bachelor and Master in Information and Communication Technologies. I did Erasmus Programs in Czech Republic and Greece, the permanent contact with people from other countries made me a world’s tech woman, not only from Portugal. As I felt like that my first job was in Czech Republic too. Nowadays Im working in Lisbon.
Walk me through your work and what you are doing now in the tech industry.
Nowadays Im Business Intelligence Consultant, before I was working in Czech Republic as Senior Process Executive at Infosys BPO. In 2015 I came back to Portugal and was working as a PHC ERP Consultant. In 2016 I moved to Lisbon to work in my favorite tech area, Business Intelligence.
What part of what you do, you love the most?
I love Data Science, Databases, Process Management and Business Intelligence.
How do you think that your background and knowledge impact the way you approach your work in the Portuguese tech industry?
As I was working in Czech Republic I could collect a lot of ways to think, multicultural company… I’m used to think out of the box.
What advice do you have for young women that want to get into tech and don’t know where to start?
I advise women to read a lot of news of tech mainly about the area that you like more. Be informed and on the top of the things is half of the work and success.
Walk me through a day in your life as a Portuguese woman in tech.
As I’m not married/with family my day is very normal. I go work and after work I go to gym. For me is one way to be healthy but at same time is very good way to leave the stress. Take time to your self, be healthy physically and mentally.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Register and report everything, protect yourself.
